Kay Pilsbury Thomas Architects is a family run, medium sized friendly practice of Chartered Architects and Interior Designers passionate about historic buildings and the stories they tell. We have dedicated our studio to working with old and listed buildings and also new buildings within the countryside or town conservation areas.
These vary in type and scale including: Country Houses, Town Houses, Cottages, Old Vicarages, Barn Conversions, Hotels, Schools, Community Halls, Agricultural outbuildings, Commercial building and Churches to name a few! We specialise in high quality conversions, extensions and adaptations to historic buildings of all shapes and sizes.
We also enjoy designing new build houses and community/ commercial buildings in both towns and the open countryside often using natural materials and regularly where there is a conservation context.
KPT work on projects in the whole of Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Kent and Surrey.
We are familiar with many of the Conservation Officers and Planners in these areas and have a select, high-quality list of local Craftsmen & Builders to ensure your building is finished to a superb standard.
